From time immemorial, Nunavik Inuit have used tundra plants for medicinal purposes, and much can be learned from their traditional knowledge of medicinal foods and plants.
Inspired by the traditional Inuit blends of tea, the Avataq Cultural Institute has produced five varieties of herbal teas; Labrador, Crowberry, Arctic Blend, Juniper, and Cloudberry to be enjoyed piping hot or icy cold. These blends of tea have been known to have medicinal properties, but it is really their subtle and new fragrance that will enchant you.
The Nunavik Inuit take part in all steps of production, from collecting the plants to selling the teas. All profits are given to the Avataq Cultural Institute, an organization that protects and promotes the language and culture of Nunavik Inuit.
