This is a countertop cooler which can work with two different types of filtration systems:

(a)
A "remote" 5-Stage RO system rated at 0.0005 micron which can be installed anywhere between the water line and where the countertop cooler is located. The advantage of a remote RO system is that, if installed close to the water line, only one product water supply tube need to be run from the RO system to the Countertop Cooler. The drain tube for reject water connecting to the drain can therefore be very short. The remote RO system also provides an additional dispenser faucet which can be installed to provide an extra point of supply of pure, filtered water at room temperature.

(b)
Similar to (a), but is a 4-Stage RO system with EZ-change twist-on-twist-off cartridges. The advantage of this system is that the user can change cartridges very easily: It takes only about 30 seconds to change one "EZ-change" cartridge.

(c)
An Ultra-filtration System rated at between 0.1 to 0.4 micron which is built into the cooler (4-cartridge ultrafiltration set up).

Each cooler produces a minimum of 20L (2 standard bottles)of purified water every 8 hours (purity rated at 0.5 to 3 ppm of residual impurities)and normally serves up to 20 to 25 FTEs (full-time-equivalents).

Ultra-violet (UV) sterilizer is an option as an additional and very effective second line of defence against bacteria such as the potentially deadly E.coli bacteria.

Notes:

- RO systems are recommended for soft water supplies only: Hard water (hardness levels above 120ppm/7gpg will cause premature clogging of the RO membrane).

- RO systems produce purified water at the average rate of about 1.25gph/4.5Lph. If your expected maximum water consumption rate per hour exceeds this figure on a sustained basis, the water storage tank option should be considered for RO systems.

- Some bacteria such as E.coli are too small to be removed by conventional sediment-carbon filtration or by 0.5 micron carbon block filtration. Hence RO filtration (with or without UV) is superior to conventional filtration.

- A UV sterilizer must be used whenver the water supply is not disinfected or inadequately disinfected.

Replacement Cartridges or

The filter cartridges are to be changed at different intervals. Filter change is easy with our easy pull-out/plug-in connectors.

Filter change frequency is as follows - (guidelines only, actual frequency will depend on water quality & consumption level):

RC1 (sediments) 6 months or longer until plugging up
RC2 (carbon block) 12 months
RC3A (RO membrane) 36 months or longer
RC3B (Ultra-filter) 12 months or longer
RC4 (carbon block) 24 months

Use of a one-stage high capacity sediment pre-filter may be useful in high sediment areas.

If your water supply is hard water (10 gpg/171 ppm or higher), please email us for advice before purchasing.

NOTES ON INSTALLATION
Installation is the responsibility of the customer. Access to water supply is by means of a self-tapping saddle valve provided. There is also a drain port (for the RO's reject water) to be connected to a drain (such as the U-trap of the kitchen sink), and an electrical outlet is required to power the unit and an optional UV sterilizer).

With our volume of rentals and sales, we are able to offer a very competitive ten (10) year parts and labour dealer's warranty (for the first owners of these units) with more comprehensive coverage than the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty is contingent upon production of serial number of the unit, and proof of purchase with purchaser's name and original installation location based on the initial order.

In case any service is needed, we will first provide trouble-shooting advice over the phone or the internet.

If the problem is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, we will have the unit repaired by us or the manufacturer's authorized service centre AT OUR COST. Shipping both ways, however, is the responsibility of the customer, unless the manufacturer's warranty covers one or two way shipping for the specific defect.

Dealer's Extended Warranty:
Covers whatever repair service and free replacement filter cartridges (and free shipping) based on the published frequency of changeout.
